After few long ‘AI-winters’, the ‘AI spring’ is upon us! AI is already integrated in our lives, it’s in our phone, in our cars, in our home. With massive amounts of data collected daily, along with progress in Big Data Analytics, AI-solutions, and exponential advancements in the computing power, has provided a fertile ground for AI/ML/DL to create useful and disruptive products.
The AI-spring brought together some of the truly beautiful and disruptive minds to San Diego, CA. The AI enthusiast at the recent AI-ML in Drug Discovery and Development Conference in San Diego, CA, were truly excited to leverage AI to augment the field of drug discovery, development, medicine and our lives in so many different ways.
Companies are already applying AI techniques identifying disease biology, biomarkers, drug targets, novel drug candidates, drug combinations, and to augment clinical trials and over all drug development process.
Truly disruptive minds, I personally enjoyed all the talks. Also enjoyed serving as the #chair of the conference, and sharing my perspective on the recent progress of how Big-Data analytics and AI is transforming drug discovery, development and medicine, as well as what the future holds.
Truly enjoyed listening to experts from Novartis, Bayer, GSK, SanofiPasteur, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, IQVIA, Takeda, WuXi NextCODE, Teva Pharmaceuticals, Genentech, Roche, Broad Institute, MIT, Harvard, American Chemical Society, Stanford and GileadSciences. Especially loved the panel discussions as well as the Q&A sessions, what an amazing audience! Met some of my old friends and connected with new ones. What and amazing gathering.
Looking forward to new advancements in 2020 that will propel the AI/ML-field to new heights.
